India’s REIT market crosses Rs 1 trillion mark in market capitalisation
India’s real estate investment trust (REIT) market crossed the combined market capitalisation of Rs 1 trillion for the four REITs at the close of trading on July 30, 2025. The four listed REITs are Brookfield India Real Estate Trust, Embassy Office Parks REIT, Mindspace Business Parks REIT, and Nexus Select Trust. This milestone highlights growing institutional and retail investor confidence in the commercial real estate sector. As of Q4 2024-25, the REITs collectively manage Rs 1.63 trillion in gross assets under management (AUM), operate over 128 million sq. ft. of Grade A assets, and have distributed more than Rs 228 billion to unitholders since inception.
